It’s our policy at Jacobs Custom Guitars to maintain the vintage vibe and value of guitars that we work on. Every now and then we get a guitar that needs complete refinishing, because little or none of the original finish remains. Usually though, we strive to keep as much of the original finish as possible intact in order to preserve the instrument’s value, while doing what is necessary to preserve the structural integrity of the instrument.
